Everton winger Ademola Lookman has committed to the England national team ahead of Nigeria.

The 21-year-old spoke with under-21s boss Aidy Boothroyd about his future after it emerged that Nigeria wanted to poach him.

Boothroyd is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Every time I see him I have a little joke with him about it.

"I say: 'Why would you want to leave us?'

"But he's very focused on England – that's what he tells me. He says he wants to play international football for England."

And the paper claims that Lookman is committed to the national team.
