Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is happy with his move to Fiorentina.
The Belgium international is on an initial loan with the Viola this season with a permanent option.
Mirallas told La Dernière Heure: "Fiorentina is a great club: when I was asked to go there, I did not really hesitate, it's an ambitious club that plays in a big league, that's what I wanted.
"There was the Middle East, but that kind of solution was never my priority, I still feel good physically and I wanted to stay in a competitive championship, I chose to see my family rather than have more money in my bank account.
"Standard Liege was not an option, I did not think about going back to Belgium, and to be honest it was impossible for a Belgian club to afford to buy me."
