Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has hinted a move to Middlesbrough is off.
It seems that Everton still might struggle to part company with the 31-year-old they splashed out £25million on back in 2016.
Bolasie told The Beautiful Game Podcast: “I did want to go because I know the gaffer and I know what the gaffer (Neil Warnock) can do for me.
“I know that I was flying because I played the pre-season games and knew what I did in pre-season.
“For me going there to show what I can do was perfect to help the team because I knew a couple of men there, Britt (Assombalonga), Chuba (Akpom), (Marc) Bola. It was a good fit and it made sense."
When asked if the desire is still there to join Boro in January, Bolasie replied:
“I don't know if it's 100% there now, now it's a total different picture. That was before, it's a total different picture now."
