Everton whiz Gordon takes to social media to protest denied pen

Everton winger Anthony Gordon took to social media after defeat at Liverpool insisting he deserved a penalty.

Gordan was never far from the action at Anfield and was one of Everton's standout players, causing problems for the right side of the Liverpool defence.

He had been booked in the first-half for diving while trying to win a penalty and also got Trent Alexander-Arnold in the book when he raced away down the left.

With the game level at 0-0 after the restart, Gordon found himself bearing down on Alisson's goal.

Reds defender Joel Matip did his best to win the ball, but ultimately bundled Gordon over inside the penalty area.

Much to Everton's amazement, the referee failed to award a penalty-kick, which could've handed the Toffees vital momentum.
