Everton are planning to hijack Sunderland's move for Yann M'Vila, according to reports from Foot Mercato.

M'Vila enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Sunderland last season and as a result, it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing the Black Cats attempt to sign the Frenchman on a permanent deal this summer.

However, Sunderland are not the only side interested in recruiting M'Vila though and reports emerging out of France claim that Everton are planning to make a last-minute move for the 26-year-old.

Rubin Kazan are eager to keep the 26-year-old in Russia but will sell if a suitable offer comes in during the current transfer window.
