Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has confirmed he will join Major League Soccer outfit Colorado Rapids at the end of the Premier League season.
The United States international is returning to his homeland after 10 seasons at Goodison Park and a club-record 352 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
“I will remain an Evertonian for life. This will always be my team, my club," Howard said.
“I sacrificed so much to play the amount of games I have over a ten-year period, and it's been a brilliant ten years.
“This is home, I grew up here. To stay ten years in any place is a long time and this has become without doubt my family.
“I will miss it a lot, but I'm excited about my move to Colorado Rapids and continuing my career with them."
