Everton U23 coach David Unsworth is delighted seeing Anthony Gordon sign pro terms.

Gordon has put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at Goodison until the summer of 2023.

Everton fended off interest from German sides Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich to tie the young forward to contract last week.

"I'm delighted," Unsworth said.

"When you are 17, you are always looking over your shoulder and wondering: 'Is it coming? Is it coming?

"But his performances have been fantastic for us, he's a great lad and we're delighted to have got his signature on a contract. He's got a bright future."
