Everton U23 coach Jose Baxter admits they're looking to improve Lewis Dobbin's versatility.
The youngster, who usually plays as a striker, instead lined up on the left wing for victory over Burnley. He was on the bench for the senior team's defeat at home to Watford.
Baxter told the Liverpool Echo: "With Tom [Cannon] there, getting Dobs in areas he can get one-v-one is always good for us.
"He created some nice little chances and nice moments, picked up some nice positions. Just a little bit it didn't come off his way, but it's all good.
"The fact that he's in those positions is a good positive for us, it's nice to play him there."
