Everton duo Arouna Kone and Bryan Oviedo came through unscathed in U21 action against Chelsea.
The duo made their return to competitive action in the 2-0 defeat at Finch Farm.
Kone, who had been sidelined for almost a year with a knee injury, got through 80 minutes of action, while Oviedo, on the comeback trail following a horrific broken leg break suffered in January, completed the full game.
"It was brilliant for Arouna and Bryan to get minutes, which is absolutely what the Under-21s is there for as well," coach David Unsworth told evertonfc.com. "They are smashing lads and this game was purely about building their fitness.
"Arouna and Bryan are both great professionals and they certainly put a shift in. It's great to see them both come through it unscathed, and that was a massive positive for us."
