Everton to run the rule over Cardiff keeper Marshall

Everton are believed to be showing significant interest in Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.

Current Toffees number one Tim Howard is under the pump following some recent questionable performances culminating in the 4-3 loss to Stoke City on Monday night.

According to the Daily Mirror, Roberto Martinez could be prepared to bring in further competition this month and Scotland international Marshall has emerged on their radar despite the fact he is contracted with the Bluebirds until the summer of 2018.

It is believed that Cardiff are willing to sell the 30-year-old for the right price, indicating to Everton that may be able to lure the former Celtic and Norwich City gloveman back to the Premier League, where he experienced on season with the Welsh club in 2013/14.
