Everton are set to join Newcastle in the pursuit of Palmeiras youngster Giovani.

It is understood that Eddie Howe's Newcastle have sent scouts to South America to watch the 19-year-old in action.

But now the Toffees are also thought to be considering making an offer for the forward.

ESPN Brasil report that the teenager is currently under contract until 2026 and has a €60million (£52.8m) release clause.

However, it is also claimed that an offer in the region of €15m (£13.2m) could be enough to convince Palmeiras to part ways with the youngster.
