Everton are tightlipped on interest in Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Khaykin.

Haikin comes off contract at Bodo/Glimt at the end of the year.

And the Russian youngster has been linked with a free transfer to Everton in January as they seek extra cover for Jordan Pickford.

Quizzed about the rumours, an Everton spokesman told Sport-Express: "Everton interested in Nikita Haikin? We do not comment on transfer rumours."

Haikin has seen Bodo/Glimt teammate Ole Solbakken commit to AS Roma this week.
