Roma face Premier League competition for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.

On a season-long loan at Roma, Smalling has done enough to convince the Giallorosso to seek a permanent deal.

Roma are offering €15m, but United are insisting on €20m to sell - a price the Italians regard as too steep.
