Everton striker Cenk Tosun admits there was shock after the draw with Tottenham following the injury suffered by teammate Andre Gomes.
The 1-1 draw was overshadowed by Gomes' horrific injury in the second half - after he was challenged by Heung-min Son and collided with Serge Aurier.
Tosun's thoughts after the game was solely on his teammate and confessed that he wished he hadn't scored - having cradled Gomes' head while he writhed around in pain.
Tosun said afterwards: “Everybody is sad inside. Some players cried. Andre was in shock, his eyes were open so big. He was like crying, shouting and screaming.
“I just went over to him and tried to hold him and speak to him; I tried to tell him to stay calm. We could never understand it. He was the one who had got the injury."
