Everton striker Arouna Kone is stepping up his recovery from knee injury.
Kone finally gave fans a glimpse of his quality on Monday night when he scored an eye-catching goal in the Under 21s' dramatic 3-2 victory against Sunderland.
The Ivorian, who signed for the Blues for £6million in the summer of 2013 but hasn't played for the first-team since damaging knee cartilage in October last year, played 75 minutes before being replaced by Chris Long.
Supporters were given free tickets for the clash at Goodison Park and Kone took the opportunity to remind those in attendance that he still has a role to play in Roberto Martinez's squad.
