Everton striker Fraser Hornby is facing two months on the sidelines.

The Scot has undergone ankle surgery.

The centre-forward sustained the injury during Everton's Premier League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers and confirmed on his Twitter account last night that the operation had been successful.

He made his senior debut in last season's Europa league clash at Apollon Limassol.
