Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is enjoying playing for manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Toffees forward has bagged 15 goals this campaign - before it was suspended due to the coronavirus - which is his best ever goal return in a Blues shirt.
He told The Times: "He (Ancelotti) pulled me aside and the first criticism was, 'you need to stay central'.
"It was like music to my ears because all my career I have been told to run channels."
On assistant manager Duncan Ferguson, during his time in charge as caretaker, Calvert-Lewin added: "He said, 'You are going to be my man up top, you are going to play'.
"And, because of the relationship we already had, he was asking me what I thought about certain formations.
"It was the first time I had been given that responsibility to feel like a true No 9, I guess. It gave me that instant uplift: this is my time now."
