Everton and Watford have settled on a fee for Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The Liverpool Echo says Everton have agreed a fee in the region of £20m for Watford midfielder Doucoure.
Carlo Ancelotti turned his attention to Doucoure after initially asking the club to make a move for Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg eventually signed for Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have instead made breakthroughs in deals to sign both Allan, who is leaving Napoli, and the Watford star who wanted to join Marco Silva at Goodison Park last summer.
An agreement could not be reached before the end of that window but it looks likely Ancelotti will land his man this time around.
Allan - who worked with Ancelotti at Napoli - flew into England this morning and has been pictured arriving for his Everton medical.
