Everton are stepping up plans to sign Burnley striker Wout Weghorst.
Weghorst spent the second-half of last season with Manchester United and worked with Everton manager Sean Dyche at Turf Moor.
The Toffees would seek to buy the Dutchman.
A source told The Sun: “Wout would like to stay in England, is settled in the North West and has a huge amount of respect for Sean Dyche.
"He credits him for bringing him to the Premier League and is excited at the prospect of playing a part in the rebuild at Everton."
