Everton are ready to cough up £7 million for Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton.

The News of the World says the Merseysiders' manager David Moyes had valued Hutton at £5m while Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted his money back after paying £9m just 18 months ago.

Now the two clubs look like splitting the difference to arrive at a deal for the injury-hit former Rangers defender who made only eight league appearances last season.
