Everton signing Muhamed Besic says the World Cup has him well prepared for the Premier League.
Besic man-marked Argentina star Lionel Messi in action for Bosnia.
Asked how tough a task it was to man-mark the Barcelona magician, Besic said: "I must be honest, it was not as difficult as I thought it would be.
"You see always these good players (on TV) but it was my first time that I'd played against good teams.
"I think I did a good job.
"It was a great experience to play against Messi and Angel Di Maria but I think I did my job well.
"Was I nervous beforehand? No. Normally two or three hours before I am but in the game I was not nervous.
"And yes, that's why I chose the Premier League.
"Before I was not so sure because I played only in Hungary so I couldn't say that I could play in the Premier League but in the World Cup I saw that I can play against the biggest teams."
