Everton are ready to offer a new contract to defender Mason Holgate.

The centre-back has been one of the most impressive players under Carlo Ancelotti this season.

The 23-year-old has become an ever present at the back, while he can also play defensive midfield.

He is out of contract in 2022, but the Merseyside club want to ward off any interest by tying him down quickly, per The Telegraph.

Holgate has been at Everton since 2015, when he arrived from Barnsley.
