Everton are eyeing Blackburn Rovers youngster Callum Wright.
The Liverpool Echo says Everton face stiff competition from a host of Premier League clubs who have been alerted to the 17-year-old's talent.
It is understood that Leicester City, Spurs and Stoke have also registered their interest in the Liverpool-born player who was released by Everton at the age of 13.
Wright joined Rovers in 2015 and his performances at Ewood Park have brought him to the attention of a clutch of top flight sides.
Everton are hoping to bring him back to Goodison as part of a revamp of David Unsworth's u-23s squad.
