Everton seek new contract talks with Monaco target Iwobi

Everton have moved to secure Alex Iwobi to a new deal.

The Nigeria midfielder's current form has alerted the interest of AS Monaco.

But Iwobi has been rewarded for his impressive season performances with the offer of a new contract.

Allnigeriasoccer.com 'understands', that the 26-year-old has been offered fresh terms on a five-year deal that would keep him at Goodison Park long-term, should he accept the offer.

Iwobi joined the Toffees from Arsenal in 2019 for a £35million fee and has two years left to run on his current contract. The offer of a new deal is a remarkable turnaround for the Nigerian, who struggled to make an impact in his first season but his been reborn under manager Frank Lampard.
