Everton have reportedly identified AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata as a potential replacement for John Stones.

Stones has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer and despite Roberto Martinez's insistence the 21-year-old is not for sale, the Toffees have already begun the search for possible replacements.

Metro is reporting 28-year-old Zapata is on the list of potential recruits, with Martinez said to be a fan of the Colombian.

Chelsea are waiting for Everton's response to their £30million offer for Stones, after having two earlier bids turned down.
