Everton's academy transfer ban lifted

Everton's academy has seen their transfer ban lifted.

The Liverpool Echo says the Blues were hit with two year recruitment sanctions in 2018 after being found guilty of making illegal approaches to young players.

Everton were also fined £500,000.

The ban said the club were unable to sign any player “who has been registered with another Premier League or EFL club in the preceding 18 months" for two years.

But those sanctions have now elapsed and the Blues are able to begin recruiting players for their Academy sides in the usual way.
