Everton have joined the interest in Real Zaragoza winger Jermaine Pennant.
The Mirror says the struggling Spanish club have sounded out Aston Villa and Everton about a cut-price £4m deal for the 26-year-old winger in January.
Zaragoza signed Pennant from Liverpool on a free transfer last summer and gave the ex-Arsenal wide man a lucrative contract worth £45,000-a-week AFTER tax, as well as a car and villa as part of the package.
But Zaragoza, stuck in the relegation zone after losing 6-0 at Real Madrid, are trying to cash in now as they look to offload two big earners in January, with Pennant their obvious first choice.
