Everton are among a host of clubs chasing Sevilla's Ever Banega.
The Liverpool Echo is of the belief that the Toffees have rekindled their interest in the 27-year-old midfielder who first appeared on their radar back in 2009.
It is suggested that Roberto Martinez could make a move for Argentine international Banega in January with the view to a free transfer in the summer when his contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan expires.
However, Everton are likely to face some strong competition for his services with the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Roma also keen.
