Everton remain keen on Arsenal utlity Maitland-Niles

Everton have not given up on signing Arsenal wide man Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The youngster, who can play as a winger, wing back, and central midfielder, wanted to leave the Emirates Stadium club in the summer.

However, he cleared the air with manager Mikel Arteta and chose to stay and fight for a first team spot.

According to TransferMarketWeb, Everton boss Rafa Benitez sees Maitland-Niles as someone who can eventually take over from right back Seamus Coleman.

The Toffees may go in for the Arsenal fringe player if he continues to receive minimal opportunities to start games in the Premier League in the first half of this season.
