Everton ready to star bidding war for Norwich whizkid Maddison

Everton are the first club that will make an offer for Norwich youngster James Maddison.

A host of clubs are interested in bringing Maddison to their squad, but it is Everton who have the most concrete interest, claims Sky Sports.

And with Wayne Rooney set to leave for the MLS in the coming days, a bid for Maddison is inevitable.

The 21-year-old scored 15 goals last season and is currently recovering from a knee injury. He is expected to begin running in July.

The England U21 midfielder is a hot commodity and it may be the ideal moment for Norwich to cash in on a prized asset to improve the rest of their squad.
