Everton manager Roberto Martinez has heaped praise on his side following their 3-0 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday night.
The Spaniard claims that this was the first complete 90-minute performance from the Toffees this season following a run of five league matches without a win.
"I think it was the first time this season we managed the game for 90 minutes," he said.
"We defended really well when we had to and I thought we really enjoyed playing in front of our home crowd.
"They looked fresh and we found it a little difficult to break them down early on, but the first goal was an outstanding move.
"Then from that point, we attacked well, anticipated their attacks well and defended with a good intensity. I thought it was a very professional performance."
Aaron Lennon scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute before Ross Barkley fired home a late brace from the penalty spot as Everton moved up to 11th on the table.
