Everton prepare offer for Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup

Everton are eyeing Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The Times says the Toffees will turn their attention to the 25-year-old should Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere reject a move to Sam Allardyce's side.

The report stated that Everton scouts have been monitoring his progress at Vodafone Park, with inquiries sent to Besiktas.

Ozyakup featured just twice under Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, with both appearances coming in the League Cup before he was shipped off to Besiktas for just £400,000 in 2012.

But since moving to Turkey, Ozyakup has established himself as one of the top players in the Super Lig, helping the Black Eagles claim back-to-back league titles.
