Everton are planning new contract talks with Anthony Gordon.

Everton have fought off the attention of Tottenham and Newcastle United so far this summer.

And the Daily Mail says Everton will offer Gordon a significantly improved new contract to ward off persistent interest from rivals.

There is also recognition within Goodison Park that Gordon's current terms need to be enhanced to reflect his status and the progress he has made over the last 12 months; Frank Lampard is a huge admirer of the 21-year-old and will not consider losing him at this stage.

Everton have denied claims of Newcastle entering talks for Gordon this week. The Blues, despite their financial concerns, have no interest in selling the winger this summer.
