Everton have opened talks with PSG captain Thiago Silva.
PSG's sporting director Leonardo Araújo confirmed that the Brazilian will be leaving the Ligue 1 side once this season's Champions League campaign concludes.
Gazzetta dello Sport's Nicolo Schira reports Silva's former club, AC Milan, are said to be interested in re-signing the 35-year-old, however, it is Everton who are in an early lead for the central defender's signature.
Having Carlo Ancelotti as a manager at Goodison Park could be 'decisive' in the Toffees' pursuit of the soon-to-be free agent.
Silva has joined the French champions back in 2012 from AC Milan and has played over 200 matches for the club.
He has won seven Ligue 1 titles and has also lifted over ten domestic cup trophies in his time at Les Parc des Princes.
