Konyaspor have opened talks with released Sevilla midfielder Isco.

Isco, now a free agent, saw a move to Union Berlin collapse on Tuesday in Germany.

The former Real Madrid star has been linked with Everton, however talks with Konyaspor are now confirmed.

“It is correct, we are in negotiations with Isco. I can say that the talks are going well," vice-president Mehmet Akcan said.

“Not yet sure if we can reach an agreement, otherwise we would say so openly. We're doing everything we can to close the deal.

"We have until the 8th of this month but I think the issue with Isco will be sorted out one way or another as soon as possible. Now we have a chance to complete the transfer. We are positive."
