Everton are in the frame for Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith.
The Mirror says Everton, Swansea City and Norwich City are fighting it out for Peterborough's £3million-rated CMS.
The striker, who scored 25 goals last season, is in the final year of his contract at Posh.
Director of football Barry Fry said: "We've given Craig permission to talk to three of the clubs who want him."
