Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson hopes his form with Iceland will help win around manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Sigurdsson has managed just one start for the Blues this season, but struck twice in Iceland's defeat of Romania on Thursday night.
"I do not know if he (Ancelotti) watched," said the midfielder.
"There were a lot of national matches, but hopefully he saw my match tonight.
"The feeling could not be better. We made it very difficult for ourselves in the end. Everything is given in a match where everything is decided and the score is 2-1. We withstood the pressure and it was so good."
