Everton midfielder James McCarthy admits he could've signed for Tottenham last summer.
The former Wigan Athletic man revealed that he could have played for Tottenham last season had Spurs chairman Daniel Levy stumped up the cash on transfer deadline day.
"Tottenham didn't come up with the money but Everton did within the last couple of hours.
"Obviously it was just one of those things with Tottenham."
