Everton have suffered a blow as Idrissa Gueye could be set to miss the clubs upcoming games against Manchester City and Liverpool through injury.
The midfielder could be out of action for up to three weeks after reporting for duty with the Senegal national team with a 'muscle tear''.
"My squad is almost complete, but Gana had a muscle tear when he came over," Senegal manager Aliou Cisse reportedly said. "I had wanted him to be in my team, but I think he will be out for three weeks.
"I wanted him to come over with the rest of his national teammates, so we could assess his injury. He was able to do so."
If Cisse is correct, Gueye could be set to miss his nation's 2018 world cup warm-up fixtures against Uzbekistan and Bosnia.
