Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is set to face court on September 1 after allegedly being involved in a drunken hit-and-run incident with a cyclist.
The Sun is reporting Gibson injured the cyclist in the collision and later crashed his £125,000 Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo into a petrol pump while driving intoxicated.
The 27-year-old reportedly failed a breath test after police were called to the petrol station.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police told The Sun: "He (Gibson) has been bailed to appear at Trafford magistrates' court on Tuesday, September 1.
"This is in relation to an incident on August 16 where police were called to reports that a car had collided with a cyclist and failed to stop before pulling into a petrol station and colliding with a pump."
Gibson has reportedly been charged with drink driving, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident.
