Everton midfielder Delph apologises for Watford red: Fans were our 11th man

Everton midfielder Fabian Delph has apologised for his red card during their 3-2 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The veteran later took to social media to apologise for the red card, even though he thought the decision was harsh, and explained a conversation between him and referee Craig Pawson.

Delph wrote on Instagram: "Great team spirit to get the 3 points today.

"Apologies for the red card but I felt the decision was harsh. I'm an honest player and went for the ball on both occasions but understand it's not easy for the referee.

"Had a good chat with the ref afterwards and I appreciated the conversation. Thankfully it didn't affect the result.

"Travelling fans were class - deffo [sic] the 11th man today."
