Everton manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed that star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be out for several weeks.
The 24-year-old, who has scored three goals in three Premier League games this term, did not take part in their 3-1 win over Burnley on Monday night.
Manager Benitez was asked about Calvert-Lewin not being in the squad, and he indicated the player was suffering from toe and quad injuries.
"He has broken his toe," Benitez said, per Sky Sports.
"He was training with problems and playing with pain.
"He had an injury the other day to his quadriceps and we have to wait two-to-three weeks, maybe more."
