Everton have lodged their opening offer for Wilfried Zaha.
The Daily Mail broke the news on Wednesday that Everton were interested in bringing the Crystal Palace star to Goodison Park.
Arsenal were rejected with an offer of £40m for the Ivory Coast international.
The Toffees have told Palace they will pay £55m, according to the Mail.
It is unclear whether the Eagles will accept the offer as it is still short of their £70m valuation.
Sources suggest Everton could be prepared to meet that valuation if Palace remain stubborn in negotiations.
