Everton are moving for Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

France Football says Everton are lining up a bid for Seri this month.

The defensive midfielder is ready to leave Nice after missing out on a move to Barcelona in August. Seri was all set to sign for the Catalans before their deal for Paulinho was confirmed.

Everton boss Sam Allardyce has approved the move as he seeks to add "more technical certainty" to his midfield.

While still brooding over the collapse of his Barca move, Seri has spoken of an ambition to play in England over the past year.
