Everton keeper Stekelenburg plans Holland return: I'm not retiring

Everton goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has revealed he's planning to return home to Holland.

The 37 year-old Dutchman's contract with Everton expires at the end of this month.

He told Voetbal International: “I'm here in my fourth and final season, because my contract is about to expire. I may be 37, but I haven't been as fit as in past years. I've never talked about quitting.

"I am now orienting myself to my future.

"I have learned from it, but now the time has come to return to the Netherlands and then we will see if there is something beautiful coming up.

"If the picture is correct, I would like to continue."
