Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has reportedly apologised to the bouncer he clashed with during a pub brawl this week.

The Daily Mail says r punched Andy Dewar by mistake when the off-duty security guard was trying to pull the 25-year-old away from a scrap.

Dewar has accepted Pickford's apology and decided against taking legal action.

Pickford became involved in a heated confrontation that turned physical on Sunday in Sunderland after he'd watched his boyhood club lose to Portsmouth in the EFL Trophy final.

He flew into a rage when one drinker taunted him, insulting his 22-year-old partner Megan Davison.
