Everton are among several Premier League clubs with an interest in Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are joined by Arsenal, Tottenham, Roma and other clubs who want to sign Smalling in the summer, perGazzetta Dello Sport.

The Englishman is currently at Roma on loan for the rest of the season.

There is no buy clause in the deal, which means Roma and other clubs would negotiate with United for any transfer.

Smalling is likely to move on in the summer, as he is no longer first choice at United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

If he moves to Tottenham, he would reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho.
