Everton join Arsenal interest for Marcelino

Former Valencia boss Marcelino has emerged as a target for Arsenal and Everton.

The Spaniard has been unemployed since being sacked by Valencia in September following a fallout with owner Peter Lim.

Arsenal's head of football Raul Sanllehi admires Marcelino and approached him in 2018 before appointing Unai Emery, according to the Daily Mail.

Sanllehi and director of football Edu are in the process of finding a successor to Emery.

Everton have not sacked Marco Silva, however, a continuation of their current form would likely end his time at Goodison Park.
