Everton interest forcing increase of asking price for Chelsea target Koulibaly

Chelsea fear they might be priced out of a move for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibalu.

Reports suggest that Everton's sudden interest in the Senegalese defender is expected to drive up the transfer fee Napoli will ask for.

Antonio Conte's club have already seen a £34million bid rejected by the Italians and with the Toffees now on the scene, the West Londoners believe they may have to pay at least £4m more.

New Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is showing considerable interest and is preparing a bid in excess of £38m for the 25-year-old which would smash their transfer record.

However, Everton will only go after Koulibaly if centre-back John Stones leaves for Manchester City this summer.
