Everton's pre-season is well underway, but an injury picked up by Ademola Lookman in their first friendly of the summer is a concern for Marco Silva.

According to the Everton website, the winger will undergo a scan to see the extent of the injury, but the club are hoping that it isn't anything serious.

The forward had sustained the ankle knock during Everton's pre-season friendly match with Kariobangi Sharks.

Lookman was withdrawn 15 minutes into Everton's SportPesa Trophy fixture in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The 21-year-old, signed from Charlton Athletic in January 2017, featured 21 times in the Premier League under manager Marco Silva last season.

He made way for Welsh attacker Nathan Broadhead in Sunday's opening friendly encounter, and Everton's medical department will now assess the extent of Lookman's injury.
